Baby alpaca wool is considered a luxury, rarer than cashmere, as only the first shearing of the animal may be labeled Baby Alpaca. The fiber is light, very fine, but more resistant and much warmer than wool. It contains no lanolin or other oils, and therefore holds less dust, allergens and bacteria - hypo-allergenic!
